DOPAG France celebrates its anniversary

DOPAG France is the eldest subsidiary of the HILGER & KERN GROUP. This year it celebrates its 30th anniversary. We look back on the success story.

It all started in a small office in Valence: From here Pierre Montala and two employees started in spring 1990 to establish DOPAG on the French metering and mixing technology market. Reiner Kern, holder of Hilger u. Kern GmbH, and Gerhard Witzig, co-holder of DOPAG AG in Switzerland, wanted to further expand their market position. Together with their French business friend Pierre Montala, they founded DOPAG Sarl on 1 March 1990. In 1996 Elain, Pierre Montala's son, joined the company, initially in the commercial sector. After the death of his father, he took over the management of the company in 2011.

Over the past 30 years, DOPAG France has successfully established itself on the market and serves important customers from various industries. These include automotive suppliers such as Plastic Omnium, Faurecia, Valéo and Michelin or customers from aerospace and general industry such as Airbus, Safran or Staubli. Within the HILGER & KERN GROUP, the subsidiary is an important competence center. At its current headquarters in Valence, it has its own production facility, where standard systems and specified metering and mixing systems are built. A team of 30 employees takes care of all customer needs in France, and a sales engineer also serves Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria.

Managing Director Elain Montala has several aims for the future: "Our employees have always been at the heart of our company, because it is only thanks to them that we can ensure the high quality of our products and services in the future and maintain our know-how at this high level". In addition, DOPAG France will continue to work on maintaining the brand image that it has acquired on the market over the past 30 years.
