Metering adhesives, sealants, potting compounds and sealing foams
Filters are used in all private, industrial and medical fields – from vacuum cleaners and air filters in cars and aircraft to highly specialised filters for cleanrooms or respirators.
For the production of filters, adhesives, potting materials and sealing foams are used which are metered, mixed and applied automatically using DOPAG systems. On the one hand, the filter mats, which are usually wave or prong-shaped, are attached to the frame or housing using an adhesive or by means of PU potting. On the other hand, sealing foams are applied to the frame or housing so that the entire filter can be used in sealed form at its place of use, for example for air suction in vacuum cleaners, for suction of fresh air in cars or for special filters in respirators.
DOPAG provides systems for all applications in filter production – gasketing, bonding and potting – that are precisely tailored to the application in question. With the dynamicLine dynamic mixing head, for example, several applications can be carried out using a single system, such as PU potting and bonding the filter paper to the filter frame. For pure bonding and potting applications, DOPAG offers reliable, precise systems with piston and/or gear pumps, such as eldomix, variomix or vectomix. The metering and mixing system is customised based on the application and requirements in question.
Compliance with standards
In the production of HEPA and particle filters, DOPAG systems enables all relevant standards to be met. They process all materials, for example potting compounds with antibacterial function for medical technology or for the use of the filters in cleanrooms.
Sorted according to decreasing efficiency cut-off, air filters are divided into:
