Metering processes are generally defined by short cycles, high repetition rates and strictly given tolerances. Moreover, the shots being applied are often only minuscule amounts of material, in which case it is all the more important that the metering be reliable, accurate and reproducible. Modern production processes require a detailed monitoring of the process capability and the repeatability of applications.These requirements must be carefully defined right at the start and considered in the system concept design.
