Sealing plastic housings for heat pumps effectively
Apply 2-component polyurethane foam with the dynamicLine

Depending on their location, heat pumps are exposed to special environmental conditions - from strong sunlight, rain and moisture to dust and dirt. This makes it all the more important to provide the best possible protection for the electronics inside.
To achieve this, the plastic housings of the heat pumps are sealed with a flexible polyurethane foam. It is applied using the dynamic mixing system dynamicLine. It was specially developed for foam gasketing and processes polymer reaction materials such as the two-component PU foam precisely and with a high level of quality.
A linear robot is used to automatically apply the foam bead directly to the plastic housing, which is supplied via an application table. In automatic mode, the dynamicLine can be operated quickly and easily using a button. Various dispensing and traversing programmes can be saved and flexibly switched between different components. Different dispensing capacities with different sealing widths or heights can also be selected.
Material feeding is carried out via pressure tanks. Gear metering pumps ensure reliable delivery of the material. The mixing head has an integrated high-pressure water pump and can be cleaned without detergent. The machine is enclosed by a safety fence and there is a safety door for servicing the mixing head. A light grid on the application table ensures that users are not in the danger zone.
The applied foam gasket hardens at room temperature. It adheres permanently and seals the inside of the heat pumps perfectly.
